CHESKA'S Thoughts
Ohhh gosh... I don't know where to start. July has been a rollercoaster kind of ride for me! With all the events and school stuff that I had to do. But regardless it was a memorable one.
For the first week of the month the person behind most of our awesome pictures and videos celebrated his birthday! And being in SInagpore means that 21st is kinda a big deal, so cheers to him!
Then my month went on with balancing my working schedule and the days that I have to go back to my new school to attend to some admin matters. It is REALLY TIRING! Both physically and mentally! Oh how I miss those days where in I will just turn up for school and the rest will be history. But those days are long over! I don't want to go much into details but it is just troublesome but I learned a lot along the way. Like being resourceful, coz there won't be anyone telling you what to do. And did I mentioned that I had to take an english test and it was really a chore coz it has been months since I last did an essay, and the closest one that I got to that were all those blogs.
I also went for an orientation for my course and for international students, honestly it is still surreal to me. I sat inside the lecture theatre that I once tried to barged in just for fun sake, and here I am an official student in that University. It is like Polytechnic all over again but I am surrounded with new people and new envornment. I still have a lot of adjustments to do but I am getting there. School starts in a few days.... so yuhhhh. Oh and I have a very messy timetable, coz I still have to get used to it.
On the bright side I managed to spend time with my siblings, specifically baby girl! I had a few off days so we went out several times. I just love the idea of shopping for toys.. in a way. LOL. And feeding them with sinful foods! It is such a joy! HAHAHA. My parents also celebrated their 21st Wedding Anniversary! It is kinda a big deal for our family and my siblings and I decided to decorate a cake for them, it's the thought that counts anyways!
Basically that was my July 2014! Just a typical month but the life lessons learned and the memories made will remain. I am ready to take on a new life in a new school! This is it! August....

MONICA'S Thoughts
Hey there! Monica here!! :>
It is now the month of August which means, we must have had already said our goodbyes to July and this also means that school is starting for Cheska and I again! Oh well, we’ll go into that later, but for now let me give you a quick recap of my July 2014.
Let me first say that July isn’t my best month. Though it started quite well as we celebrated Boboy’s 21st birthday which was on the first. It served as a small get-together for both our secondary school friends as well as poly friends. It was just an intimate lunch buffet at Starz Restaurant in HardRock Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa =) After lunch, we went to try this super cool (as it looks like a small laboratory having all the chemical formulas/trivia on the walls and using laboratory apparatus like conical flasks, the people were even wearing lab coats!) and super expensive ice-cream house –Just Like It, where we had freshly made strawberry ice cream with fresh kiwi fruit and whipped cream on top. I would say, good to try hehee!
I did my first test in NUS on the 2nd week of July, where we had to take a Qualifying English Test. It was kinda odd for me as the last time I was in an exam-like environment was way back in March (Our Final Poly Exam) so, I almost forgot how to write =)) But it was a good experience overall and I was able to see my scampeeps as well :>
And yes,I did it again! I am really setting a record here guys =)) I fell sick again, having blocked and runny nose, sore throat and cough. There was even a day where I had a severe stomach ache, where I just found myself crying in pain and couldn’t move an inch. I have never felt so horrible and weak in my entire life except that moment, I was already at the verge of asking them to take me to the hospital. That’s how scary and horrible it was. Good thing it didn’t last more than a day, but the colds and cough were giving me terrible headaches :| And then I received a special delivery from boboy showering me with tons of fruits and all sorts of medication to help me feel better immediately. Thanks boy <3 You are the sweetest! :>
And lastly, I had my first Korean bbq experience was great, my sis boboy and I went on a random Korean-bbq lunch date =)) I was able to meet my IBN friends as well and did some catching up. On the 30th of July our QET results were released and I was able to achieve better than I thought I would, so that should be good enough =)) and On the last day of July we had our pre-camp briefing and bidding! IT WAS STRESSFUL AS HECK. But I don’t want to rant here as I want to end my july on a positive note, and it sure did as I was able to see my scampeeps again! Yey! It felt like camp all over again and I must say I missed them! <3
Oh and i have also received my NUS card yey! =)) school will start next week, as this week is week zero. So yups hooray for more adventures!
