Cheska's Thoughts

HI!!!! Finally we are back to blogging about our MAY 2014!!!! I know it is long overdue but it was on purpose, maybe because it was a very special month so I did not want to rush my post. I want to make it REALLY REALLY personal!

My month started with a VERY VERY VERY GOOD NEWS! Remember I told you guys I was called for an interview at National University of Singapore (NUS), the result was officially out! I GOT IN! I cannot really express in words how awesome, how blessed, how loved and how fulfilling that moment was. I will never ever forget that day because for once in my life I was scared of what the future has in store for me and once again I was given a chance to improve myself further. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against working after my graduation but I guess I am not ready just yet, I know I still have a long way to go and hopefully in future I can really perform at my best. In fact this opportunity was the product of a risk that I took I did not really expect I could ever get into this school but I guess God will always have a plan for me, no matter how perfect and decided I think my plans are, his way is still and will always be the best. But hey, I am just an incoming freshieee… so the story continues.

Of course the main highlight of my May is our GRADUATION! But before the said day I had two graduation pictorials, HAHAHA. One in a studio for my graduation portrait and another with my friends, which explains our endless grad pics! I guess that day was also memorable, as we’ve waited three years to finally wear our graduation robes and pose in front of the camera with our genuine smiles. And on the day of the graduation, everything went well the weather was gloomy at first but after the ceremony we had the perfect weather for picture taking outside!!! But before I start with that I would like to share a few bits and pieces of what happened before and during the ceremony…

Okay, I was almost late coz of course I am a girl so it takes time to look at my best… HAHAHA and during the ceremony I was really really nervous as I did not know that they will really project our faces on the big screens as we walk to the stage to get out diplomas.. it was hmm… AWKWARD! LOL But I managed to get through it. But oh my oh my… they pronounced my name wrongly!!! But at least the pronunciation was somehow creative so I’ll let it slide… but this will be the last time! LOL. So after the ceremony we took loads and loads of pictures! My friends came as well as my family; I am really happy and proud because I have a supportive bunch of people around me. I feel really blessed and loved. But I guess one of the sad moments were those that I had to say goodbye to my friends, acquaintances, classmates and lecturers and say the words ‘See you around’, because it is literally a see you around thing. And I hope when that day comes we can still reminiscence the good old days together and share a good life after.

I also went for three other graduations of my friends, I am also happy to see them achieve so much considering how crazy they are, of course it is because they are my friends… so yuh! Which made me more excited on what the future holds for us, it seems like yesterday we took our O Levels, started polytechnic and now we are going to the next level, the level that requires more maturity, a journey towards our adulthood.

The final events of my month were both birthday celebrations… YEY! Lexi “baby girl” celebrated her 5th birthday and she had a mini celebration in school and at home. Ohhhh she is really no longer a baby sister but a little sister but she will always be the baby of the family. And I am happy that she had fun on her day!!! Next celebration was Grette’s 18th Birthday and it means she had a debut here in Singapore. The party was really fun and for some reasons it made me feel like I am back home, the atmosphere, the people… AHWWWWW But I do wish her all the best especially now that she is entering the adulthood era! HAHAHA! And by the way both birthdays were celebrated on the same day… so you can picture how busy we were.. LOL

As my month ended the most important life lesson that I learned is that no matter how much we plan our lives, in the end of the day we will end up somewhere we least expected but it is the best place for us. As what I always say…. God Provides!

That’s all and have a blessed June and year ahead!!!

Monica's Thoughts

Hey there! Monica here!! :>

We know, we know, it is already Mid-June and we are only posting it now. Sorry about that!! :D

As mentioned in our previous highlights, there would be a lot of things to be excited for in the month of May one of those would be my last day of work. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed my stay and working experience at IBN, especially the friends that I have made and the colleagues I have had. They were amazing and the working environment was very conducive. But since it was not a permanent job, I would leave to anyway. So the first 2 weeks of May was spent doing and preparing for my exit presentation. Oh and it went well by the way =) yips!

I thought that after my job, I would have more free time, but I was wrong (POOR ME :| HAHA). On the 3rd week of May, we had our graduation photo-shoot and graduation day. We had so much fun and energy doing the photo-shoot well as you can see from our previous post HERE. Meanwhile, I’d like to share with you our graduation day, we were freaking late! It was raining and cab driver did not know where to drop us off, so he dropped us at the opposite side where we were supposed to gather, thus we had to wait and take the shuttle bus! Good thing cheska was able to wait for me near the entrance, if not I would look damn lost! =)) Overall, our graduation went well but my brother wasn’t able to come :| that’s why he wasn’t in any of our photos. (SOBS!!) But Glad that my Grandfather was able to attend my grad, yikes! OH-OH! I didnt get to take photo with all my classmates and friends :( which is why i am secretely hoping for a rewind HAHa!

We spent the last week doing all the last minute props decoration, cleaning and all that jazz in preparation for my cousins’ arrival and sis’ 18th Birthday.

On the 28th of May, my cousins have arrived here in Sg, and we were just unstoppable! Solrac invades SG indeed! They came here mainly for my sis’ birthday (which was btw, amazing! Thanks to my cousins and aunts/uncles for all the help!) but also, for us to bond, even if it was just a couple of days. We went to Universal studios wearing our New Solrac Tee together, Malaysia, Town Area and ate at Makan sutra! =) The time we had wasn’t enough but it was sure one of the best ones this year! Gaaah love them!! <3 We all know that every beginning has its end, and as much as I want them to stay longer, they had to go back to the phils. </3 But, hopefully I’d see them again later this year :D

PS: Thanks to Boboy’s Family for all the help!!!! <3 See you in our next highlights! Hope you are having a wonderful June! =)
