Kissable Balm stains (KBS): it’s a pampering balm fused with a lightweight lipstain in an adorable chubby crayon. Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of color that lasts hour after hour. The gel formula comes in 10 vibrant shades that match any look or mood.
Matte Balms (MB): Velvety Matte Look. Moisture Rich Balm. A Matte finish that’s beyond plush. Balm that’s beyond comforting. Our Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Coconut and Mango butters nourishes lips. In 10 collectible, craveable colors.
Lacquer Balms (LB): High Shine Lacquer. Moisture Rich Balm A lacquer finish that’s beyond brilliant. Balm that’s beyond comforting. Our Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Coconut and Mango butters nourishes lips. In 10 collectible, craveable colors
Packaging:
All these 3 lip products come in a jumbo twist up lip crayons, which looked so sleek!
Generally, all three look similar except for the finish of the material.
(KBS) opaque, plastic-y with a slight shine material,
(MB) the entire packaging is matte even the silver bottom twister part, (which I think made this look more expensive hehee).
(LB) has the most glamorous looking finish it is shiny, and able to reflect anything! The color of the packaging is the most vibrant.
Formulation:
(KBS) are very balmy in texture. slightly sticky and more moisturizing. The kissable balm stains has a slight gloss/sheen into it which eventually fades throughout the day and leaves a stained lip. However I find that other shades appear to look frosty on the lips.
(MB) This is completely matte. 100% matte and gloss/sheen and shine free. However, it is unlike your typical matte lipstick. THIS IS NOT DRYING at ALL. It feels very-very velvety and glides on smoothly, even when I did not exfoliate my lips! Absolutely adorable!! I mean who doesn’t want a matte lipstick that’s not drying? Nobody! Oh well, if you are a lipstick hoarder like we are, and love matte finish lip products, these are must haves!!
(LB) I feel that the Lacquer Balms are almost exactly like the Revlon Lip Butters, in terms of the formulation. Glides on smoothly on the lips.
All these three have amazing formulation, with each having a distinct “feel” into it. All three feels amazing on the lips too!
Colour Pay-off:
(KBS): These go on slightly sheer (still considered pigmented though), however, buildable to achieve the desired color (color shown on the lip product itself). This is consistent to all the shades.
Honey: Nude/Muted Pink with mocha undertone à Natural Pink Tint
Sweetheart Valentine: Bright pink à Bright Pink Tint
Cherish: Baby Pink à Pink Tint
Romantic: Orange-y Red à slight berry red tint
Rendezvous: Bright orange à Bright orange tint
(MB): Most pigmented as compared to the other two. A swipe gives enough/full coverage. And this applies to all the shades.
Standout: True to red (I don’t know how to tell if it is cool or warm, sorry HAHA!) I feel that it compliments my skin tone and it makes me look more awake
Sultry: Nude/Muted Pink à Nude colour with matte finish
Unapologetic: Cream Pink (bold in colour) à Pink tint with matte finish
(LB): The colour pay-off varies! I find that the lighter shades are less pigmented while the darker
shades are more pigmented.
Flirtatious: bright cherry red
Whimsical: Slightly dark purple à Purple with glittery finish
Longevity:
(KBS): The longevity of the lip balm with the stain could last up to 4-5 hours! especially the brighter one/darker shades. This is why I love this soo much! =)
(MB): The longevity is amazing! It lasted on my lips, for a good 3-4 hours without bleeding and drying. It slowly fades into beautiful stained looking lips, definitely a long lasting lip product even if they don’t claim to be. But I was thinking since, I have picked up the darker shade; it was almost expected to last longer. I can’t speak the same for the other shades as I have not tried them.
(LB): I feel that this is the thing that this lip product is lacking, just like the lip butters, these come off super easily, hence it won’t even last you an hour especially if you keep on drinking and touching your lips. It transfers to almost anything your lip touches.
Scent:
The scent is the same for all three – MINTY!
Where to get in SG: Available Island wide, at Watsons, Guardian and SASA.
How much in SGD: $19.90 (sgd) Retail Price, 20% off usually when they’re on sale, (~$15.90)
