Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing.
• What it is: Highly pigmented, matte lip cream
• What it does: Creates various matte lip looks
• Why we love it: Delightfully creamy and lightweight, our award winning line just expanded with two captivating new shades.

**This is not going to be a review as it will be redundant =) Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams have been around for years, so you have probably heard about it a lot of times. Just to be clear these are cream formula hence the name lip cream, which dry to a matte finish. Excellent pigmentation and sweet vanilla frosting-kind-of smell!
These are not my absolute faves in terms of its formulation (though I used to really-really-really love them a lot before, and I still love them now, a lot more recently.) but I feel that the color selection is just stunning! That is why I always find myself getting more of these =) In my last favorites I included one shade from the older selection, check it out MARCH FAVORITES
It was in January 2014, when Nyx came up with 9 (if I’m not wrong) beautiful new shades. But it was only until recently when I started using my lip creams again, when I got reminded how much I loved these, so I wanted to try out their new shades! =)
-As much as I wanted to do lip swatches, my moustache was bothering me and I know you guys will be too, and it does not even look presentable enough at all!! Haha! Next time maybe, after I have the courage to wax it =))

SMLC19 Cannes:
Matted Muted Mauve (As defined on the NYXwebsite)
It is a good brown-ish/mocha-ish nude shade that has pink undertone, which looks very-very natural on your lips (I feel that I always say this, but I tend to love natural looking shades, so yea!). This does not wash you off (well at least for my medium skin tone), it is almost more like my-lips-but-better type of shade.
(It looks pretty brown on the swatch, but it is not! On my lips at least ;)
I actually stray from matte nudes (unless it has a pink/peach undertone), as this is a matte lip cream and usually it would accentuate the lines and chapped lips and just looking very unpleasant in general. But this nude is actually different! It did not settle in the lines and it applied on evenly as well as it dried on beautifully.
This can be worn every day! Any time of the day and if you want to use a nude lip to pair with a Smokey eye.

Matte Deep Pink rose (As defined on the NYX website)
This is really one unique color, It is not quite a pink, it is not so much of a red neither it is an orange, but I think it just the perfect combination of all! The color is too unique for me to describe. I don’t want to say the wrong things haha! I think this would be a nice spring/summer lip color! Especially those who like unique and bold colors!
I actually see a little resemblance between this and Mac Ablaze which I believe is a limited edition Lip stick from one of mac’s 2013 collection. NOT SAYING IT IS A DUPE THOUGH =)
SMLC18 Prague:
Matte Merlot (As defined on the NYX website)
This is another unique color as compared to the old shade collection. A lot of reviews also mentioned that this particular shade is comparable to Mac Rebel in terms of color payoff.
It is a Beautiful-Beautiful, deep plummy shade that has red undertones, that is not too vampy and still wearable on a daily basis. I think it looks good in every skin tone, even if you’re fair, medium or deep! I feel that this is a good alternative to your Red lipsticks and could tend to be more suitable for everyday/frequent use. It is almost like a magenta, deep mauve color.
This is perfect to wear during the fall and/or winter time. (But sadly we don’t experience those here HAHA!)
