Hiii! So we are back with our Get Ready With Us (GRWU) SUMMER 2014 Edition!! We really enjoyed our Holiday Edition so we decided to make another one.

DISCLAIMER: WE ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS, but we do love dressing up and doing our make-ups for fun sake. So yuh, forgive the amateur video LOL. And THIS IS NOT A MAKE-UP TUTORIAL.

AND ALSO THE LIGHTING WAS PRETTY OFF HENCE YOU COULDNT REALLY SEE HOW THE MAKE-UP LOOKS LIKE :| SORRY ABOUT THAT, BUT WE WILL DO BETTR NEXT TIME =)

Cheska's Summer-Day Look

For this look I tried to pull out a very light and at the same time Sunlight friendly make-up look, hence I tried to focus more on applying a base that has an spf of at least 20-30. Firstly, I applied my Body Shop Nutraganics Refreshing Toner for skin protection and as well as to even out my skin tone. Then I applied Skin Food’s Mushroom Multi Care BB Cream (SPF20) as a foundation base then I went on with using the Bourjois foundation (from Monica). In order to hid some blemishes and my dark circles under my eyes I used the Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser by Maybelline in Fair Clair (Note: It is not sold here in Singapore so I had to order it online from the US but it is really worth it as it lasted me for almost a year!). Then in order to prevent my face from being oily (a tip that I learned from Sephora’s Foundation Rehab) I applied the Body Shop Nature’s Minerals in 01 (with SPF25) on my neckline, t-zone and under my eyes.

For my brows I used the Eyepencil in Dark Brown by Maybelline (I featured it in my March Faves), then I blended it using a brow brush to make it look lighter and at the right shade to match my hair colour. Then I went on to moisturize my lips using my ever-favourite lip balm from Nivea Fruity Shine in Pomegranate, I also applied my Eyeshadow Primer from Urban Decay. I used my I Love NYC Vol. 3 for my eyeshadow and I mixed some warm colours with a dark yet warm red shade using the brush from Naked 2 palette. Since I am doing a Summer day look make-up I figured I must pull off a slightly tanned look for the beach without forgetting a little bit striking red to spice up the whole look. I also applied the Eyepencil in Black from Maybelline on my waterline and I used the Silky Girl Liquid Eyeliner for my lids (using a waterproof liquid liner and eyeliner is advisable as you never know you might have the sudden urge to swim if you are nearby the beach LOL) and of course for my mascara I used the Falsies Volume Express by Maybelline (which is also waterproof). As for my lips I used the Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in Rendezvous, I really love orange and I guess it matched the whole season look.

Lastly, for my blush I decided to go with my Solutions compact blush on in Peach for a light colour and I matched it with my Body Shop Brush on Radiance to have a lighter and glittery look.

That’s all for my Summer-look Day Edition, so if your gearing up for some summer escapade do not forget to pack your make-up essentials. This season is not about heavy make-ups but rather for a light and tanned look. A simple look with just blush, lip gloss and a foundation with the right SPF will do the trick! So be classy with a protected skin this summer!

Monica's Night-Time Summer Look.

Hey there Monica here!! :>

*This make up look does not fully represent what i used for this outfit, this is just another/suggested make up look, hence you can alter it based on what you'll be wearing =)

Complete List of all my used products (In-order):

- Vaseline Lip Theraphy in Cherry

- Bourjoir FLower perfection translucent smoothing primer

- Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation in 23 + Loreal True Match in N4 Nude Beige (A Pump each)

- Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001-Transparent

- Daiso Eyebrown Powder in Brown and Taupe

- Urban Decay Primer Potion

- ELF 32 piece warm eye shadow palette

- I <3 NYC Vol III Urban Decay Palette in, Last call (Lid) and Bordello (inner corner)

- SIlky Girl Black Liquid Eye liner Pen

- Maybelline Hypercurl Volum’ Express in Brown

- Loreal Blush in Golden Apricot

-Dab of Wet n wild Megalast lipstick in CHerry Picking

Since this was an intended night make-up look. I chose to do a simple purpley-smokey eye look. Where i only used 3-4 eye-shadows! Deep dark purple at the outer corner (from the ELF palette), Last call on the lid and Bordello on the inner corner (Both fromI <3 NYC Vol III Urban Decay Palette) and a tan brown to blend all the colours well.

I used the deep purple eyeshadow under my water line too for more definition. =)

As for the cheeks i used, a peachy blush that has tiny but subtle golden shimmers. and dab of a cherry red lipstick for my lips just to give a stained lip colour, i did not want to get too bold on the lips as the eyes were already dramatic enough =)

I am aware that the final look, looked kinda off, it was due to the lighting :|
