Cheska's Collab #OOTD: SUMMER ROCKER

Hey guys! This week’s #OOTD is part of our Summer Collaboration series with our Friend-blogger Anico of Burning Splashes. This is really an exciting collab as we cater the day and night style for this summer, and this week it will be the DAY EDITION! The theme of my #OOTD is ‘SUMMER ROCKER’. A little bit out of the cliché summer fashion but the chemistry with the outfit is the whole concept behind this look.

For my top it is actually a DIY singlet! I mean what is summer without singlets?! To battle that burning heat of the sun a very comfy outfit is a must! This top used to be a T-SHIRT and as you can see I did a little bit of altering to match the season. I don’t know if you noticed but I always emphasize on some practical tips for every outfit and this time around it will be all about this top! And of course even though it is summer don’t go all showy and wear an inner tank except if you are going to the beach and just decide on wearing a bikini! If you have any old shirt that is just hiding underneath your other clothes, it is time to take it out and do some creative alteration to it! In fact I also did some crop tops and I will feature it for my other #OOTD! So stay tuned!
Next up are my bottoms! Yes, it is one of those in trend things these days, a SKORT! A short that looks like a skirt, a two in one kind of thing! Honestly, I like this idea I mean you can look classy and comfortable at the same time. The colour really matched the summer theme, as it is light yet striking in shade (turquoise blue). I got this from the bazaar at SCAPE. Despite the rocker chic look of my top I also managed to look all girly like in the end due to the skort, well basically that’s who I am.
As for my accessories I decided to use a statement necklace to add up to the rocker chic look but for the bracelets I decided to go with different colours to balance. I also decided to use a satchel bag in black from GUESS and platform sandals in brown from Crocs. Despite being slightly elevated the platform sandals were really comfy and lightweight! Oh… what is summer without any SUNNIES? I decided to go with my cat-eye leopard print sunnies from Rubi!

So that’s all for my Summer #OOTD! And remember Summer is another excuse to be all creative and colourful! I guess it is my fave season of the year as I am really a big fan of COLOURS!!! And don’t forget to be creative in every outfit! Just following what is IN-TREND does not really make you ‘fashionable’ but being the trend is… So be bold and creative!!!
