Hey there! Monica here!! :>
As it is our exam period at the moment, well not really YET, but you know it’s our study break and exams are next week and the week after next. I could not find time to do #OOTD shoot. So sorry for that! But I found out some pictures that I thought would be suitable, since I have not shared this with you guys =)
Here are my solo shots from the Singapore Polytechnic Corporate Comms Photo-shoot 2013, which I talked about in either my October or November 2013 Highlights. We were fortunate enough to be chosen and part of this photo-shoot.(Of course we had to go through Photo screening). The photos are currently being used in SP’s website, Posters, Ads and all those jazz! So yea, we would be the “face” of Sp for the rest of the year. (Wow sounds so prestige ((= )

Anyway, so yea before the photo-shoot they sent us a list of clothes to bring, 2 sets of your choice, 1 Team SP shirt, 1 Formal Attire and 1 White top. They hired professional make-up artists (AND i WAS WEARING HIGH END MAKE UP HERE BWAHAHA, nothing really i just wanted to say that HIHI), photographers and provided tons of clothes and accessories for us to choose from as well, and somehow helped us with our wardrobe.
A week before the shoot, I was accompanied by my friend Ate Chi, to “Shop” for clothes and she helped me to find and choose clothes and this dress was one of the dress we found. I thought this dress looked really cute and simple. And it is a print that i have been seeing quite recently but something that i dont have , so why not try CHEVRON FOR A CHANGE! :) It was also perfect for the wedge that I already own and the red belt. Even before i bought this, i knew exactly what i wanted to wear with it.
So a little tip for you girls our there, DO NOT BE AN IMPULSIVE BUYER! Being a shopaholic is normal for us girls, but there is a thin line between being a Shopaholic and an Impulsive buyer. Before buying something, at least picture yourself wearing it. If you like it then buy it! (oh well, now that gave me a blog post idea, haha!!) Enough blabbering, and going back to the dress, the only downfall was that the length of the dress was a lil shorter than what I expected.
My theme for the overall look was to just look pleasing, clean and simple. As I don’t really dress up in school, I don’t want my everyday “fashion statement” to differ so much to what I would portray in the picture as one of the goal was to let our personality shine through, though until know I have never tried to wear a dress in class, But I would!! For the last day of exam HEHEEE.
***The 2nd photo from the left is practically everywhere in school, and the quality pretty much sucks, they edited the picture and accentuates my Not-so-hairy-legs then, (Cos i have shaved, and before i did, i made sure, the length was intolerable for me =)) )HAHA though, may look disgusting for other people already. So yea it was kind of embarassing, but Nah. It is over and it's there so i cant really do anything apart from hiding my face when people notice its me! =)
I will be posting a separate blog post for the photos :)
