Hey there! Monica here!! :>
Here’s another overdue post! Its new year so I am trying to keep up! =)) As most of you may have known I just turned 21 last month. And it feels so crazy, because I still feel so young, i mean i feel like i'm still in highschool! though i should know that I am not getting any younger.
I am not quite sure if there are gonna be major changes regarding my personal style (fashion wise and everything else) But as of the moment, I don’t think so. Well you'll have forever to see those changes if there are going to be any =))
Since 21, is like the primary age for adulthood, well in my opinion HAHA! I wanted to wear something feminine and more mature in a way (This is mature for me. Don’t Judge! HAHA!!). So dress is a good way to start. Dresses are very versatile, you could definitely wear it tons of way and perfect for different purposes and occasions. I loveee dresses! But a fact about me is that, I have never worn a dress to school! IDK why, but uhmmmm. Maybe for once I should try! =))
I got this dress at a flea market, and once I saw the print, I didn’t even know that it was actually a dress, I immediately grabbed it and I did not let go of it. I never really own any clothing in red, (I mentioned it before, if I am not wrong) and this one was an exception, the print was what sold me! And it is not just plain red, the floral print all over was just pretty as well as the navy blues and greens. It was love at first sight and I fell in love adeeper when it fitted me perfectly! I felt that this dress was destined for me =)) It has straps and zipper that you can actually unzip, the neckline was again that not-so-low heartshape (Sorry I suck at describing but you get the idea!) I personally thinki that this neckline is very flattering, even if you are not so blessed with that thing (Like I am), it still looks pretty!
The purse/clutch is cheska’s I borrowed it cos I did not have any bag that would go best with this look, so its an envelope looking purse/clutch and very spacious! I am not sure what animal skin it was trying to imitate but yea, it is perfect for semi-formal outfits, formal or even casual =)
I actually wanted to wear my Sagittarius necklace with this, cos I thought since, it’s a birthday outfit and I was born in December and my zodiac is Sagittarius, it would be suitable, and also its in gold, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find it! But nah! Its okay, just paired it with simple accessories cos there were already too much going on with the dress and I did not want to overdo it, the highlight was the dress itself :”)
Same goes for the make-up, and I have never really worn make-up on my birthday except on my 18th, and last year cos of my sis’ debut, but other than that, I don’t wear make-up, I didn’t feel the need to actually,. But since I am 21, why not! So I just did the simpliest eye look I could ever do, and just finished it off with my fave red lipstick of all time!! (I mentioned it in our December faves!)
Hope you guys like this and I’ll see you again in my next post! <3 Lots of love!
