Lipstick Junkies anyone? Well, we absolutely are! Any type of lip products as long as we could afford (or as long as it has reasonable price or we have enough time to save) Hello? We would get it!

Here in Singapore, a mac lipstick could cost about 28/29 sgd! Double the price of a mac lipstick in US! It is definitely considered as a high end product here! And even though Mac lipsticks are sooo amazing, it is darn expensive to collect and knowing that there are a lot of dupes, why not go for the cheaper alternative? So cheska and I have decided that as much as possible, we would only get Mac lipsticks that are Limited edition, and here comes Riri Hearts Mac Fall and Holiday Collection!!!!!!

The story behind us getting these lipsticks is pretty hilarious and I won’t go into that details, as I am not sure how many of you are interested haha! So let’s jump right into the comparison! :>

The shades that we got for the fall collection is the Talk that talk and for the Holiday collection is the Pleasure Bomb. And Yes! Cheska and I have gotten the same exact colour! ;)

Fall Collection: Talk That Talk

Packaging: C’mon, as early as this I would already give my rating of 100/5!!! I personally think that for the most part, it is this beautiful rose gold packaging that sold this entire collection! I think this is the collection that everybody would not forget as Mac took its packaging to a whole new different level, as bold as it may seem, this packaging is to die for! I mean how often you see such a beautiful rose gold packaging. Sorry for the photos as the reflection of the camera caused the black colour on the packaging, but I am sure you have seen a ton of photos. The entire lipstick packaging is in rose gold unlike the usual black with tiny glitters/shimmer with Riri’s signature in Pink. The outer surface area is glossy and shiny and reflective rose gold, while the inner surface where the cap overlaps when it is closed is in matte rose gold.

Rate: Definitely a perfect score!! :>

Formulation (how it feels on the lips) & Colour Payoff: Talk that talk is in matte formula, and yes it is a little drying, best applied with lip balm underneath it. Since it is a little drying, I have not and do not want to try it on its own, so I definitely moisturize my lips before applying and I apply it on a patting motion, in this way I could control the pigmentation and it saves my lips from being dragged.

The best thing about this lipstick is that, it may seem scary on the tube but the colour is semi-opaque, and totally buildable! Meaning you can slightly dab it on your lips and get a “stained” looking lips, or you can go full on and apply the rest to achieve the same colour as the tube.

It is a deep, very deep berry colour, almost burgundy, plummy a little vampy. Perfect for the fall season, or night parties, or if you are just really a fan of dark lip colours! I personally think that this colour would suit most skin colour, depending on the intensity applied. But if you want to achieve the full colour, I think it’ll look better on fairer skin tone.

I have worn this for our Halloween look I did not have any post on this site, only on my Instagram, but I received A TON of compliments! Seriously! ;) I would include a picture here :>

Rate: 3.5 out of 5 for the formulation, 4 out of 5 for the colour.

Scent: It just smells like a regular mac lipstick, faint vanilla scent, nothing new.

Longevity: Since it is a matte formulation, it could last up to a good 8 hours, again depending on the intensity of the colour you have put on, if you would just apply it like a stain, more or less a good 3-4 hours would be the longevity. Not bad huh? It also leaves a pretty stain, and fades nicely.

Holiday Collection: Pleasure Bomb

Packaging: Unlike the fall collection, I was not really a fond of this packaging, I mean don’t get me wrong. I love whites! But for me, Rose gold and pink? Nah, not bad but not really a fan of. I feel that not one of the prettiest packaging, though it is really very similar, only the addition of white. I feel that the white packaging from the Archie collection was more suitable. The cap is exactly the same but the Riri signature is in white instead of pink for the fall collection.

Rate: 3.5 out of 5

Formulation (how it feels on the lips) and Colour Payoff: And yes again, this is another Matte formula, you guys would already have an idea, how much I love my fuschia lip products! And This is just one of those things I could not miss! It is just one pretty shade, fuschia with a red undertone. Even though it is matte, I feel that this is less drying than the talk that talk, so it is more comfortable on the lips.

Rate: 4 out of 5 for the formulation and 5 out of 5for the colour

Overall, these collections were worth the hype, and worth the time to queue up! I really hope that those of you who are a Riri fan, have gotten these! :> We shall see, which collection we would go cray again! :>
