Hey there! Monica here!! :>

And yes! Our Prom is over! And tonight we bring you our #OOTN for the mentioned event =)

Our theme was “Glänzend” a German word for shiny? When I first knew the theme, I turned in to google immediately to find out what it meant and when I saw the photos, I froze!! I saw silk dresses and I was thinking “What the heck?” Seriously! Haha, but we clarified with the committee and they just said anything that’s shiny should be okay. Phew!

So, cheska, CC and I have been anticipating this for the longest time, well ever since we knew there would be one. As mentioned in our Prom Blog, It was my first time attending a prom. So I wanted everything to be the way I envisioned it. But yea, work load started to pile up and I just could not find the “perfect” dress. I browsed through tons of online shop, but it seemed like, I was not destined to get a new dress haha! It was either too expensive or the shipping would not have made it on time. So you know what forget it, I decided not to get a new dress then.

My friends and I share clothes! Haha! We do that all the time, cos we know that sometimes it is more practical to borrow clothes from each other (since we are close friends anyway) and we know we are hygienic enough to lend and borrow HAHA! , than getting a new one, while the other person has it and you only have to use it once! So my friend Rilette, lent me one of her dress, I actually gave her a heads up beforehand and told her if I could not find a dress I’d borrow hers, and she was totally fine with that, ( THANKS RILETTE BIGTIMEE!!! <3) I thought the dress could go pretty well with theme, well it wasn’t shiny! But I felt that I could pull it off with some “shiny blings and accessories” (HAHA TOO MUCH SELF CONFIDENCE HERE YA!)

Now let me talk about the dress itself, a lot of people thought it was two piece, but no it’s just one. I don’t really know what is this dress called, but I’ll just do my best describing it in my own way HAHA!

The top is a “corset” type, having a heart and low neck line, with straps, the details are daisies I think there are also a few embellishments all over it, and there’s a layer of black lace underneath. The bottom part is just plain black pencil skirt cutting that goes slightly above the knee, and it has soft tulle fabric over it that goes all the way to my ankle (if I’m not wearing my pumps it could go all the way on the floor HAHA)

Since the neckline is pretty low and I do not really wanna show something, if you know what i mean, HAHA! I chose a necklace that would be able to touch the low "neckline", if that makes sense? Haha! And since there were daisies on the dress, I wanted something with a floral vibe but would not look cheap and when I found this necklace, in black and gold I knew it would look good! :>

I knew I had to get a belt as well, and since I was skewing towards black and gold/beige already I decided to get this stretchable belt that locks in front at the gold buckle itself.

The shoes were pretty standard, I’ve had this for a year and since it is a staple black pumps, it would definitely go well with this entire look. And the clutch, was a last minute thing, I forgot that I had to have something to put my stuff into, so I just picked this up from my closet not thinking if it would go well with the entire outfit. apparently it didn't look that bad HAHA!

If you guys are wondering why vintage-y glanzend, i feel that the colour scheme of this entire look is vintage-y plus on how i curled my hair with a red lip. =))

Oh no! I did not see this coming! This post is longer than usual, hence I do not want to bore you guys further and should just post a separate blog post regarding the makeup look =) Thankiee!

Dress Brought from a store in Greenhills, Philippines (From Rilette), Chloe Studded Clutch in beige from Rubi, Black Platform From an Online Shop, Belt, statement necklace and earings from Talisman
