Hey guys!!! Cheska here!

And I am so so so so excited to share to you all about our Prom Night last 12th of December 2013 (Thursday), by the way it was held at the Rendezvous Hotel. Actually it is not my first time attending such event as I already experienced a Prom Night three years ago when I graduated from secondary school (high school), but then again this is a whole new experience I guess, haha! And of course a major factor to that was the people I was with, and they are the friends that really made my poly life an enjoyable and a bearable one.

To begin with we actually booked a hotel room to prep for the night and for a birthday surprise for Monica. Upon arrival to the hotel we just started our hectic schedule of recording vlogs, photoshoots which you guys will get to see real SOON. Gotta tell you guys the application of make-up for different look is really troublesome and my skin…..arghhhh HAHAHAHA. But nevertheless it was fun. Then when we started doing our make-up for the prom a whole lot of girl bonding amongst us emerged, believe me it was fun and complicated at the same time. Oh man, girls must really receive recognition for being patient in applying eyeliner and eyeshadows, not to mention the curling of the hair. But I guess looking all glam up and presentable for the night is indeed a great prize. This is something I did not really get to do during my first prom night, because I just spent the whole afternoon at home trying to doll my self up with the first ever make-up set that was given to me. Frankly speaking three years ago, I do not even know the importance of putting a foundation and eyeshadow, in fact putting mascara is already a glam up look for me, ohhhh how time flies. But look at me now, all obsessive about blending my eyeshadow and having a good-natural foundation. I think through time our style really do evolve, so girls it is never too late.

I also decided to re-use a dress that I wore during my sister’s 18th birthday last year, for two reasons; I think it is really pretty and it is a waste to just get another dress when I have this. Ohhh not to forget my Empire State building-like red pumps, I love this pair of shoes but my feet, don’t. In fact I had to walk barefooted after the party hahaha! I think the only thing I bought was the accessory; well there are never enough accessories in every girl’s closet. I will talk more about my look on my #OOTD post, so stay tuned!

Moving on to the party, we actually intended to be fashionably late so we did not really get to enjoy the pre-prom activity like the self portrait caricature due to the ridiculously long queue, so we just enjoyed the unlimited Polaroid shots with our friends. Okay another slight disappointment, I thought when they said cocktail drinks, it includes alcohol, but that idea was far fetched coz of course it is a school party and despite our legal age it is still a NO…NO, hahahaha! When the doors opened for the party to begin, we sat to our respective table together with our other friends, Oh man, I think our table was really one of those crazy yet ‘food appreciative folks’, if you know what I mean LOL. The program started off with games of all sorts, it was entertaining and I guess the idea of serving our 9-course meal, dish by dish throughout the night was a good idea. We get to eat and laugh at whatever is happening on stage. Overall the food was good, but I guess my favorite dish was the one with the fish (check out the picture) and roasted chicken. There was also an open dancefloor for everyone; it was fun and of course loud! LOL. Sadly, I did not won any of the prizes for the lucky draw, but it was just a bonus anyways. Ohhhh and not to forget the photo sessions, I brought my camera to capture those glamorous moments with my friends. Check out the slideshow of the pictures, and you will understand what I mean by fabulous.

The night ended in a memorable note, with all the pictures we took and the laughs that we shared. This Prom night is definitely different from my secondary school’s prom but both are equally memorable. For now I am looking forward to our Graduation Party or better yet… GRADUATION!

That’s all for my Prom experience! Hope you guys also had a memorable experience with your own prom.

<3 Cheska

Hey there! Monica here!! :>

For today’s blog post will be regarding my first ever “Prom” Experience! Yes indeed, I have passed my teenage years and yet this would be my first time to actually attend a prom, which is probably why I have been really-really looking forward to it.

(Ps: A lot of blabbering coming your way, scroll down further to skip it HEHE)

It is not actually a “Prom” Per say but, whatevs! =)) It is The “CLS (Chemical Life & Sciences) Annual Dinner and Dance 2013” It is just like any other dinner and dance, but for me it is extra special =)

It was held on 12th Of December 2013, at Rendezvouz Hotel, Singapore at Straits Ballroom.

CC/” Boyboy” HAHA! Or Mostly known as Chee Chong, helped us in booking a room so we could use it as a room to get ready. We shared the room together with our other friends, Patsy , Vivian and Cheska of course. But we did not stay overnight as you know, my parents are strict like that! Haha, I have NEVER-EVER gone sleeping over somewhere, that is not a “camp” (and compulsory for school events) or my cousins place. So in short I have never tried sleeping over my friends’ place hehee. CC and his aunt stayed over instead :> so the room wouldn’t be a waste.

The 4 of us checked in early, about 2 pm. And Cheska and I had planned a time table for us to follow, so our day would be productive! Little did I know, they have planned a surprise birthday party for me as well, which I would talk about in a separate blog post.

Fast forward to the time where we had to prepare, the four of us, had to find our “own” place where we could get ready! (Oh and BTW, we planned to film a get ready with us video, but it didn’t work out, haha! The sun set too early and the lighting was bad also). There was a moment of silence for the most part, and a lot of movements from one place to another as we did not have a proper mirror!! (GOOD THING I BROUGHT MY EVER SO LOYAL HUGE MIRROR THAT CC GOT ME YEY!! Thanks Boy!!)

I think I really enjoyed the getting ready part, as I love doing it! Haha, I will also talk about the make-up and the outfit on a separate post! Haha! Which would be under #OOTD =)

ENOUGH blabbering!!! Can you guys imagine how much of a long-winded person I am? I mean, this blog post is almost, ¾ of an A4 sized paper, and I have yet to talk about the “PROM” itself. Tsk tsk!

PROM TALK HERE!!

So the Prom itself had a pre-event at 6:30 which I did not really want to attend, but since everybody wanted to go, and the room only had 2 cards, and all that jazz ya know, I had to rush getting ready and attend that event, which I was freaking disappointed. There was basically nothing to do. The queue for the caricature chains was too long, there were already a lot of people, I just did not find the purpose of being there early. So I was kinda in a bad mood then as I was not finished doing my hair or at least I wasn’t satisfied with how I looked, especially seeing the outcome of the polaroid pictures. (But well then you know, it was my fault for dragging them so late, that’s why there were already a lot of people and the queue was long)

At about 7pm+? We could already enter the ballroom, and looked for our table. There was an emcee, games and food! The food was pretty good I should say. Loud music, and dancing. But what everyone was looking forward to was the lucky draw! Haha! Which unfortunately we did not win anything, however, our friend and table mate, Khai, and Darrell won something! How coooool!!! Hihi. I feel that the picture taking with friends and lecturers took longer than the event itself, it ended pretty early too!

Overall, it was a fun experience and not bad for the first time! Though of course I know nothing compares to my Highschool Prom (In the Philippines) which I never attended, but I got the chance to sneak in before when I was still a freshman and sophomore ;))

It was definitely an amazing experience, seeing my the friends that I made for the past 3 years in poly, all dolled up and suit up! And it also reminded me on how time flies, that in, 2-3 months’ time we would be leaving polytechnic. This was a date to remember indeed =)

** Enjoy the SLideshow pictures that cheska made :) Stay tuned for our #OOTD post for more detailed elaboration of how we looked like that night :) See you on our next blog post! :D
