Hey guys CHESKA here!!! Ohh…. How I missed blogging and sharing my random thoughts to all of you, coz for the past two weeks all I did was to memorize shit load of stuff for my Mid-Semestral Test (MST)… anyway it was my last.. (fingers crossed). So let’s start my November highlights….
Well, for the first week of November (2nd November 2013, Saturday) my friends and I celebrated the Deepavali at Renuka’s place, which has been a yearly tradition since 2011. The picture was taken from that day together with our other girlfriends, that we met during our first year in Polytechnic. Time flies really fast, and here we are…..And by the way that was the same day Monica and I attended our very first workshop with Sephora!!!! The Foundation Rehab… It was indeed a fun and memorable experience for us coz we get to try their products and although it was an obvious marketing strategy we still fell for it, but on the brighter side at least when we buy from them we know which products will be of good use and a ‘necessity’. So girl, if you get the chance to go to these workshops for free, do grab the opportunity, especially for those students who will soon be graduating and eventually joining the real world…
Next up was the our first ever #MovieDate with the third member of Our Avenue, many of you do not know but behind the scenes we have this ‘awesome’ photographer-soon-to-be-videographer named “Chee Chong”… hahaha! He is the person behind most of our #OOTD and some of our videos. And it is true that despite that fact that the three of us have known each other for the past 3 years (or so…) we have NEVER watched a movie together and “Thor: The Dark World” was the first. Well, its not that we don’t like watching together but I guess its because we bond doing other stuff like photo shoots, shopping and EATING!
The last exciting part of my November was the Boyce Avenue Concert that was held last 21st of November. It was a VERY last minute plan and since Monica was unfortunately sick on that day she gave the concert a missed, but then again we they come back to Singapore next year I am sure she will not miss it anymore! The concert was really good except for the fact that we had to wait for an hour before they started playing, but they had some local bands to be their opening act. I was actually expecting them to sing more of the covers rather than their original songs but I was wrong, although I was not disappointed either since they played my favorite song ‘Fast Car’, ‘Treasure’ and ‘Mirror’. In addition to that I was amazed by how good they sound vocally, and I guess seeing them live is worth it.
And of course for the last part of my November, school school school. We were busy doing the last bits of our final year project (FYP) and of course revising for our MST that took place on the first week of December… So November started off fun and exciting for us, but it ended in a very NERDY-Stressful way.. HAHAHA. Which explains why we did not really post so much for the last two weeks, and on why this blog entry was only put up now.. HAHAHA. Do watch out for more month-ender posts like the November Faves, Make-Up Tutorial (that you guys asked for through the polls) and of course exciting December posts….. (and its gonna be a NEW….. type of of post ;D ).
And of course a very Advance and Cheery .... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Of course the last but NOT the least.... Thank you for reading our random and personal blabbers for the past 2 months!!! 400++++ views and counting!!!! **HUGS**

Hey there! Monica here!! :>
November is so over and yes we are posting this about a week or so later but, better late than never yea?
My November was pretty stressful I should say, Most of my time was spent doing lotsa school works! mid-semestral tests, Final year project (FYP) lab works, crazy headaches from smelling stuff ‘cos of our Fragrance and flavor module! This month was just all about surviving our last few laps before graduation (yay!), but nonetheless I still feel grateful for every little thing, blessing that my family and I received this month, and there were still some happenings worth mentioning! :>
For the 2nd week of November, as most of you may know, we attended a Sephora event which we had a full blog post about, so I won’t go and repeat the same thing, we’ll link it again below, for more details about the event :> and that same day, if you would have read my #OOTD post, we also had an annual gathering at a friend’s place that very day. It was fun seeing most of them again and it feels so great to know that every year we would have an event that we could anticipate, seeing everybody once again =)
This month was the first month that Cheska and I watched a movie together as well!! Can you believe it, we have been friends for almost 3 years and that was the first time we watched a movie together? HAHA! We watched Thor which we also had a review about! It was aweeeesomeee <3
Well, as most of you know, earlier this month, the most devastating typhoon hit the Philippines, Typhon Haiyan, where thousands of families were affected, many lives were taken, and infrastructure, houses and even tourist spots were greatly damaged. I was really-really disheartened browsing through the pictures, watching the news </3 Seeing these people cry for help and knowing that I myself could not do much help, apart from praying and hoping they’ll be okay. My family could not stand just watching the news and waiting for something good to happen, so we have decided to do our part, to the best of our abilities to help them. We have gathered clothes, food and cash from our friends here who wanted to help as well, (Cheska has helped us a lot in asking out people!! she collected a bunch of stuff too) and those were sent to the Philippines. I know that I am not supposed to be sharing what deeds we have done, but I just feel that, whoever, might read this would not think twice to do the same, not only for the Philippines, not only to those who badly need help, but also in our daily lives, not as much people are receiving the same blessings that we receive, some of theirs might actually be coming from you, you can be a blessing to them. They may or may not know you, you can or can’t totally give what they need, but the thought of helping and finding ways to reach out is definitely far from not doing anything.
I thought this month would seem a little too boring for me as when I think about November, I only remembered the tasks I had to do (school stuff), but you know what, this Monthly insights thing, actually is doing me a good thing! Making me reflect and appreciate the time that I had, with people and all that jazz!! Thank you God for all the blessings! I am deeply overwhelmed :”)
Now that it is December, everybody already has their festive moods on! And so are we! I fear that December will just fly supeeeeer fast like a rocket!! See you guys again next month! Happy Holidays! And Advance Merry Christmas :> oh and Thanks everyone who have viewed/read our posts!! It really means so so so much to us! :>
