Monica's 6th #OOTD: 'HIghlight That Collar'

As some of you might know that Cheska and I are busy bees this week and for the upcoming week because, next week will be our Mid Semester test! (Wish us the best!!) So we don’t have time to do outfit shoots! (Sorry!!) But that doesn’t mean we’ll leave #TrendyWednesday post-less! HEHEE. So here I am bringing you a throwback #OOTD or more like #OOTN!

This was last year 21st of December 2012, during Cheska’s sister, Tin, 18th birthday party! It has become a tradition for us, Filipinos, to have a grand 18th birthday party celebration. And her theme was "Party like a Rock star", and her motif was red and black. That explains why I was wearing this burgundy skater dress . I do not own any clothes in red actually, as I feel that it does not compliment my skin tone HAHA! But I love deep colours, burgundy, army green, navy blue etc. So this colour is just perfect! ;)

It’s just a simple flowy dress, with cute bronzy stud details at the collar. But i i must say that this dress is made perfectly! The length, the choice of cloth (chiffon) with a silk lining!! This is by far the best dress i've gotten from cotton on! It was also available in black and was sooo tempted to get one but i think they did not have my size, (oh and btw, this is in the size XS, if you guys are curious, for different type of dress your size would vary :\,)

Studs were everywhere last year! It was a huuuuuge trend last year if you would remember! You can find it anywhere! Shoes, clothing, accesories, bags and even phone cases! But i did not want to go overboard hence, I paired it with another wardrobe-essential—Black pumps and my black studded clutch, which if you guys would remember, i first introduced on my 2nd #OOTD post, skater chic! I did not wear any chunky accessories instead I chose to wear black earrings and that’s all! I wanted to keep this look simple and elegant.

As for the make-up, I just did a simple neutral eye make-up, eyeliner, light blush and pinky red lipstick!

And oh, how I miss my long hair!! I could still afford to achieve those pretty curls!
