BLL108 Dusty Rose

I have been hearing a lot of good stuff about this lipstick and since I am a fan of NYX products in general I decided to give it a try. Actually, I am forever in a hunt for the perfect nude/ pink nude lipstick. I realized there are not so many reviews regarding this product though it has been here for a while, And I really have high hopes in this one.

Read further to know my verdict! :D

Packaging: It comes with a gray box, well not fully a box ‘cos the bottom part is open which gives you a direct access to the lipstick. The gray box has tiny glitters all over it and the top of the box has the shade name and number. And just the box its self looks pretty!! I just fear that if the box starts tearing at the edge, since it is made of paper, it could not hold the lipstick very tightly and might slip off. But for me, I keep my lipstick without its box anyway so that should work for me :)

Moving on to the lipstick packaging itself, it looks similar to the box with the lacey print/detail on. The bottom part is transparent with the lipstick shade which is VERY accurate. It is your regular twist up lipstick and contains 4.2 g of product.

Formulation (how it feels on the lips): This is SUPER SMOOTH AND CREAMY! It glides on beautifully on your lips; you can apply it at ease! I can feel its moisturizing as well, I would say that this is more moisturizing than the covergirl ones (once applied) but after giving it time to set, it set into a beautiful satin/semi-matte finish which is UH-MAZING! You’d get a matte lipstick finish without the trouble of putting it on as some could really be chalky and just harsh and drying! (This is my fave lipstick finish, so probably most of the lipsticks I’d get would be in this formulation *peace!)

Scent: I don’t quite know how to describe the smell but it is definitely pleasant! For me personally, I think it has a fruity scent – Grapes! To be exact. And I really really like it. Most of my lipsticks smell like vanilla so this is definitely the odd one, but I love it!

Colour Payoff: The colour is opaque, and similar to the one shown in the tube. Though some of the colours are sheerer than the others, (according to other swathces). The colour has a hint of purple-y mauve with a slight pink undertone. It looks a slightly like muted pink on the lips though, and it looks really flattering on. I feel that so far this is my Lips but better kind of colour! I am really-really in love with this!!

Longevity: Since the colour is super close to my actual lip colour, I could not tell when it actually worn off, however, after several times of trying it, it is safe to say that it lasts up to a good 2-3 hours, depending on your activity (and I mean eating and all those jazz!) And they did not claim to be long lasting as well.

Final Verdict: Will I repurchase? – SURE I WILL! DEFINITELY YES!, Just waiting for Shopping District to restock the shades that I want, and I feel that the quality is really good for the price J Overall, I love this lipstick, I love it better than my covergirl ones and I am looking forward to get more of the pretty shades!
