Shitake Mushroom Pasta

Ingredients: Olive oil, White onions, Sliced Shitake Mushroom, All-purpose cream or full cream milk, Chicken broth, Salt and Crushed black Pepper, Plain Flour, Parmesan Cheese, Penne Pasta and coriander to garnish.

*Optional: Chili flakes

Simple yet flavourful pasta dish could be done in no time, Perfect for any occasion! :)

This recipe could be altered easily based on your own preference! Pasta dishes like these are very versatile without sacrificing its flavour.

Some alterations for healthier options: Low-fat milk could be used in replacement of the All-purpose cream or full cream milk. BUT YOU CANNOT SKIP THE MILK! The milk is actually one of the key ingredients, as it is responsible for toning down the rich and aromatic flavour of the shitake (Most people like the shitake mushroom itself, but hate the smell of it during the cooking process!)

Wholegrain penne pasta or any wholegrain pasta could be used for more dietary fibre :)

For extra flavouring, you can add your favourite herbs, make sure to strike a balance, you don’t want it to overpower the whole dish don’t you?
