Our October..so...far.. ;)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys!!!! Cheska here….. It’s nearly the end of October… which means its time for…. HALLOWEEN! Well not really something I am excited for unlike before when I get so hyped about trick or treating. I did not do it the traditional way though, but rather the modern way, by going around shopping centers in the Philippines to literally beg for candies..LOL. Anyways, the purpose of this blog entry was to do some ‘reflection’ or as they call it, trip down the memory lane but only for the month of October.
This month has been a very busy yet exciting month for me, well basically because Our Avenue was launched beginning of this month after a month long of preparation (YEHEY!), and thank you to all our family-friends-acquaintances who bothered clicking the link to view our posts. Then both my mom and dad celebrated their birthdays this month, not to mention the yearly tradition of preparing everything from present to cake to food, kinda got used to though. The celebrations were both intimate and nothing big coz I guess its hard to celebrate a birthday that meant more wrinkles on your face, but don’t get me wrong both of them still look young, despite the age criteria. Our school also started this month and it was the beginning of my last semester in my current school, I felt both happiness and sadness with regards to this matter. Because just thinking through all those stressful mid-semester test weeks to end of semester examination weeks that I had to go through for the past five semesters. Not to forgot those nerve-wrecking midnights that I had to open my email for my results that I've experienced in a cycle. But on top of those experiences the values that I’ve learned along the way was the real prize. I guess another semester won’t hurt, and maybe I will live out the principle of ‘save the best for last’.
Lastly, I hope that despite our school works that are starting to pile up we can still consistently post stuff here in our site. But then again doing something you love will never be a burden, and that has always been my motivation ever since. I hope those of you who enjoyed our posts will also be encouraged by the hidden message underlying in each of the words that you read from our site.
That’s all for now, have a good November everyone!

Hey there! Monica here!! :>
I just want to let you guys know this month’s highlights and maybe some reflection/s towards the end. So bore yourself! =)) JK*
I just feel that October flew by so fast! The first two weeks of this month were spent in school!! (Even though it was supposedly our last 2 weeks of holidays). I was busy doing photo-shoots and video shooting in school, in preparation for our polytechnic’s open house next year, January 2014! I will keep you guys posted once I have received the pictures and once the video/short film is available for viewing :)
It was a truly memorable experience and I could say a dream come true! I have always wondered how it feels to be in front of the cameras, how does filming work in real life production for short movies/clips and all those jazz! And to experience it first hand was truly amazing :D this experience also made me realize that it was not something that I want to do in the long run (though I have always wanted to become a model HAHA). But I don’t know, I sure had fun and enjoyment while doing it but I feel like, maybe.. it is something for me to do occasionally? Or only when I feel like doing it? And not something that I would do for a living or as a profession. But nonetheless the whole shooting thingy was unforgettable as I have met and made new friends :)
This October marked our last-first-day-and-semester! (does that make sense? HAHA!) But yea, a semester more to go and we’ll be graduating from polytechnic! And would you believe it? On our first day of school, we already had a surprise QUIZ for our Advance Organic Chem Module! What the heck? Excuse the language but, that was exactly what I said =)) Oh well, surprisingly I passed considering I have not touched any organic chem notes for almost a semester and our final year project has got nothing to do with organic chem! Thank God!
October is my mum’s birth month as well! And she just turned 50 this year. Thank God for another year J Her birthday “party” was a blast and everyone gave my mum the most amazing time and overwhelmed her with lotsa love! All of us had equal contributions but my dad had put in a lot or should I say extra effort and time preparing for ALL the food and I kid you not, it was damn exhausting! But it was all worth it since it was for our mum ;) Shout out to you mum! Love you ;)
Finally, this year’s October is definitely like no other as it means that we have been blogging and sharing the everyday us with all of you! I would like to thank you guys so-so-so-so much for tuning in! :D
And that’s for my #JustSaying October2013! See you guys again for my next month for our monthly update/highlights! :)
